Frequently asked questions
Can I link the store of a supplier, a retailer or a partner?
No. Stockwyn links only stores of your own business. Both stores confirm that when they are linked.
Why does Stockwyn ask me before some changes?
A change of 10 units or more that is also at least half of the previous quantity counts as large. In a target store it always waits for you — so one store set to 0 by mistake doesn't empty all the others. In the main store a single large change is passed on without asking; only many at the same time wait. You can change that under Settings.
What happens when a quantity can't be read?
Nothing is written for that product. Stockwyn treats an unreadable number as unknown, not as 0, and shows it in the log.
How many products can I link?
When Stockwyn looks for products to link by SKU, it compares up to 5,000 variants per store. Larger catalogs are planned; until then products can be linked by hand.
What happens when I disconnect a store or remove the app?
Syncing with that store stops. Every store keeps the quantities it has; nothing is deleted in Shopify.
How do I cancel?
In the main store: Plans → Cancel subscription. Billing runs through Shopify.
How do I get my data, and how is it deleted?
Settings → Your data downloads everything Stockwyn has stored about this store as one file. After you remove the app, the remaining data is deleted when Shopify asks Stockwyn to.
Stockwyn is operated by Marco Lange.
